Time to cut the umbilical cord?
An article over the weekend suggested that Australian parents are forking out a combined $235 million of their cash to support their children living at home. Does this sound like you or someone you know?
While we are avid supporters of helping your children, at what point does the umbilical cord need to be cut? At what point do we need to teach them to fish instead of continually serving the fish on a platter, at a time that suits them.
We have been working with a number of our clients (young and old) on cashflow management. Its not about Weetbix for dinner and missing out – it is about prioritising where the money goes. As you will all know by now, the team at BMM are big supporters of spending money – but you have to put in the hard yard first!
